CyberSky is ideally suited for you if you’re interested in the stars, if you have a passion for astronomy. You see, what we have here is a user friendly and feature-rich astronomy software for Microsoft’s Windows operating system. You can use it to view detailed maps of the sky as seen from any location on Earth – home, your grandparent’s place, the location where you plan to go on vacation, and so on.

The system requirements for running CyberSky are as follows: 1GHz processor or better, 512MB of RAM memory or more, 120MB of free disk space, 1024 x 768 or higher screen resolution, 32-bit color quality, Windows operating system (XP, Vista, 7, or 8; 32 or 64-bit edition).

You can install a 30-day trial on your Windows XP, Vista, 7, or Windows 8-powered machine. To do so you will have to go through a standard setup procedure: download an installer (it’s close to 8MB in size), run it, go through the instructions presented by a setup wizard. A few clicks later you will be done with the installation process and you’ll be able to start enjoy all the features CyberSky puts at your disposal.

Speaking about that, you will find the following on the application’s list of features: user friendly interface that provides support for themes, watch astronomical events with the animation feature, detailed maps of the sky that cover all the events from 15,000 BC to 15,000 AD, proper-motion vectors, the paths of the Sun, Moon, planets, asteroids, and comets, save maps to files, print out maps, and more. As mentioned above, you have a trial period of 30 days to use CyberSky for free and uncover all the features it has to offer.

Go get CyberSky if you want to learn more about astronomy or if you want to share your passion for astronomy with others. This is a properly good astronomy software tool.

Pros

The system requirements for running CyberSky are quite low; the application can be run on 32 and 64-bit Windows editions. The user friendly interface provides support for themes and can be customized. CyberSky is a properly good astronomy software that puts a nice selection of features at your disposal.

Cons

Nag screen.
